Webinar April 28, 2026

(1 SHRM PDC and 1 HRCI General)

In this session we will discuss three critical areas of focus for HR leaders and operational teams in 2026. First, we will explore the time management and cultural benefits of the concept, Carpe Momentum. An expansion of the ‘Seize the Day’ mentality, we will discuss how leaders can ‘Seize the Moment’ to connect with employees and build culture. Managers who are able to effectively use their time and seize the moment will have an impact on culture while inspiring others to action. Seizing the moment will allow us the chance to exceed the expectations of our employees, giving them a sense of community, growth and development. Next, we will discuss current economic and employment trends. While 2025 was a year of playing it safe and tapping the brakes, 2026 is a time of opportunity and growth throughout Utah and throughout the west. Finally, a risk-prevention mindset is critical for our success in the HR profession. It is our duty to build and improve soundness for the company, safety/benefits for our employees and reduce overall risk, including financial risk. We will discuss how HR can increase benefits for employees without increasing spend and negative impact to the bottom line. In turn we promote actions to cement employee loyalty while challenging individuals to achieve excellence.
