Speaker Bio
Katie Christensen is the Education and Partnership Coordinator for ashTEC. Katie has a passion for workforce and employee training and development in Utah communities. Specializing in creating programs that empower individuals and organizations to succeed, Katie has experience in program coordination, training and professional development. Her background spans career services, Human Resources, marketing and design, and remote workforce management, making her a trusted advisor for both job seekers and organizations looking to adapt to modern work environments.
Katie has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Art Administration both from Southern Utah University. Before joining ashTEC, she worked for organizations like Utah State University, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Arizona Theater Company, the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, Southern Utah University and is a professional photographer. When she isn’t working, Katie enjoys binge watching shows, getting lost in fantasy books, cooking, crocheting, and maintaining favorite Aunt status to her 16 nieces and nephews. She just recently relocated to Iron County with her husband of 18 years, Cameron and their two dogs, Sookie and Wrigley
