Lindsay Mattes is an Executive HR Strategist, International TedX Speaker, Best-Selling Author, and President and Founder of Kinder HR.
Lindsay’s professional journey, from Ballet to Bows to Business Owner, underscores the significance of a Human Relations First approach to strategic planning, risk assessment, and the cultivation of a culture of kindness within organizations. Utilizing her 25+ years of HR experience, Lindsay's mission focuses on teaching leaders the skills necessary to implement the future of HR, including empathy, effective communication, conflict resolution, and leadership development. By prioritizing kindness, businesses can establish inclusive environments that enhance employee well-being, fuel creativity, and drive collaboration, ultimately leading to success in today's competitive landscape.
Lindsay obtained her bachelor's degree in Women's Studies from the University of Utah, where she developed a keen interest in individual experiences, diversity, and evolving perspectives. She received her master’s degree in organizational leadership and certificate in Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University.
Lindsay has been recognized for her expertise by Utah Business Magazine as a 2024 HR Achievement Award Honoree. She has been invited to speak at conferences, on podcasts, and business panels. She holds 2 senior level HR certifications, SPHR and SHRM-SCP. She currently serves as the Board President for Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT), located in Salt Lake City, UT. She has previously held other board positions with the Salt Lake Chapter and the Utah Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management.
Lindsay has been married for 22 years and is mother to 4 daughters, 1 son-in-law, 3 dogs, 6 chickens and 1 rooster.
