Amy Perkins
Amy Perkins is a seasoned human resource professional with over 10 years of experience supporting organizations across healthcare and higher education. Her career includes impactful work at HCA Healthcare and, more recently, Western Governors University (WGU), where she continues to support leaders and teams as a Senior People & Talent Business Partner.
Throughout her career, Amy has served in a wide range of HR roles, including HR Coordinator, Business Partner, Ethics & Compliance Officer, and Vice President. This diverse background has given her a holistic perspective on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and ethical leadership, allowing her to meet organizations where they are and help them move forward with intention and care.
Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Weber State University and a Master’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources from Capella University. She recently earned her SHRM-SCP certification and is passionate about staying connected to the evolving HR profession. Amy is excited to serve as an Ambassador for SLC SHRM, where she looks forward to building community, sharing knowledge, and supporting fellow HR professionals.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys being outdoors, cheering on her kids at their many activities, and attending live concerts whenever she can.
