LeAnn Johnson is a highly accomplished Human Resources professional with over two decades of experience in fostering positive and compliant workplace environments. Currently serving as an HR Field Director for the State of Utah, LeAnn partners with agencies such as the Tax Commission, Environment Quality, and Culture & Community Engagement to provide expert guidance on a wide range of HR related topics, while being a strategic partner using data driven decisions.
Prior to her current leadership position, LeAnn honed her extensive HR expertise as a Human Resources Liability Specialist for the State of Utah-DHRM, where she was responsible for maintaining meticulous employment documentation and providing data-driven recommendations on disciplinary actions. Her career also includes significant experience in various management roles at Walmart, including Personnel Coordinator, where she was pivotal in communicating HR policies, managing employee relations, overseeing onboarding, and ensuring compliance with training requirements.
LeAnn's strengths lie in her exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, her ability to analyze data for informed decision-making, and her commitment to servant leadership. She is a proactive problem-solver, dedicated to supporting agency visions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. LeAnn holds an Associate of Science Degree from Dixie College, but truly believes in skills-based hiring, based on her own experience.
When LeAnn is not at work, she enjoys exploring the beautiful area in which she lives through biking, kayaking, camping, and fishing with her family and friends.
