Matt Brown

Matt Brown is a former cop who broke the mold—and happily left the stereotype behind. For over two decades, he served the South Jordan Police Department with a calm mind, kind heart, and a commitment to treating everyone with dignity, even on their worst days. From leading SWAT operations to teaching high schoolers as a School Resource Officer, Matt did it all—always with a deep sense of purpose and an even deeper sense of humor.

In 2021, Matt traded his badge for a new career in HR, joining JobNimbus as a People Success Coach. There, he helped leaders grow, teams thrive, and the entire company level up with RESPECT coaching and a whole lot of heart. He’s a certified Gallup CliftonStrengths coach, a lifelong learner, and a firm believer that better conversations build better workplaces. In 2025 Matt joined Sportsmans Warehouse as an HR business partner.

At the core of everything Matt does are three guiding principles: treat people with unconditional positive regard, stay neutral and curious, and never stop learning. He’s here to help others grow, one meaningful conversation at a time.
